Raspberry Dream Smoothie recipe


This is one of my favourite smoothies which I love to whip up when I feel like a day off my regular green concoctions. I add a few handfuls for pumpkin seeds for various reasons (high in manganese, tryptophan, magnesium and protein) but right now I’m consuming them solely for their high zinc content to help boost my immune system.

A great variation on this recipe is to add a few tablespoons of chia seeds or flax meal to the blender which creates the tastiest “yoghurt” to drizzle over home-made granola for brekkie. YUM! Otherwise, enjoy as is for a creamy dreamy smoothie.

This recipe makes enough for two people and takes a few seconds to whip up in a high speed blender (I used my fabulous Froothie 9900 Optimum)!

What you need:

1.5 cups frozen raspberries

2 cups coconut milk

2 frozen bananas

2 heaped scoops vanilla protein powder

A few handfuls pumpkin seeds

How to make:

Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until super smooth. Pour even amounts into two glasses and serve with glass straws. Enjoy!
